the only cage which a bird could accept is the Garden. I love birds, want 'em, but Birds in Cage, is not my conception. So I watch 'em in the garden and this is the best view for me, the best pale for 'em.
After having a major altercation with a housemate about my horrible "personality", this piece really hit the spot. Sometimes I feel like being yourself requires a lot of trust, which I have learned to give most people. But then it takes one angry person to make you recoil and remember why it's one of the hardest things to do.
Here's to all those caged birds who should be freed.
I love how the rest are clinging to her, while the one is floating away, and the big Great Horned Owl is looking over her shoulder like "I stay because I want to, but it's nice to watch you go free." And your mix of world birds and the differences in the girl's details really make this piece not look too much like any one place, like it could be a dream or anywhere/everywhere all at the same time.
