#72 Never give up on drawing by Picolo-kun #72 Never give up on drawing by Picolo-kun
"I used to sketch on the walls the world I wanted to see."

This one is very personal to me. I guess all artists come to a point where they need to hear something like that to keep going (:
Never lose track of what got you into drawings. Keep drawing. It does get better!

Notice that the guy didn't threw away his old sketch. Keep your old drawings and laugh at your old mistakes after some time ^v^

This is what imma miss about your art the most. Nearly every other piece you did had something so positive, so motivational and inspiring to take from it. Wished I had seen your stuff from the beginning before now. Your impact will be missed!

Not only to laugh, but I love seeing how much I progress, especially when I feel like I'm not good at what I like to do.

you are amazing! Your art is so playful, i can even get the giggles by looking at some of you work. Love you style!
One question, your white lines (when texturing/shaping in all black areas), are they drawn afterwards or sculpted out as you fill in the black? Thanks :)

Hiyori Asahina (Joy) [V1] I really like the quote! And your advice, but I hope people already keep their old stuff. My Dad has like my stuff form when I was 7 apparently he kept it in his office hung up on a wall all these years. I looked at it and well...my seven year old drawing was fucking good (If I can say that)! I wish I could draw like that now xD I'd be to absorbed in the detail to make it simple

The relationship between the walls and the flow of dreams continuing into our adolescence is very evident. How you showed that in the continuation and in the beginning of the whale as a child, like the beginning of ones creative imagination and exploration in drawing, and finishing it on the right, ending a learning process. But with the figure drawing a new image implies a constant learning process over time (hahaha he's drawing what looks like a clock Young Mary Kozakura (Cheerful) [V2] play on this whole idea!) and how we can always grow and expand no matter when we began to draw or paint or w.e creative activity one pursues. Your attention to detail is outstanding (like in the Ghibli fan arts BTW OMFG LOVE THEM!), in the newspapers and in the whale.  The organic flow of the water/waves/magical swirly thingys is soft and clean, it really reminds me of magic and how our imaginations and what ever someone makes is like a magic. No matter what we produce as long as the person had fun, tried their best and is proud of their accomplishment is a magic.  You seem to really grasp that deeper quality in everyone abilities, even if it isn't artistic. Another ingenious quality is the incorporation of the old drawing of the cat, really touches to peoples childhood and makes the whole piece relatable.

Lovely piece, but I don't like whales except Killer Whales D:

A wonderful message to go with a great drawing! I love art, my skills in drawing are so/so....mmm....practically nonexistent actually :'(
But that never stops me from enjoying it ; be it from seeing another people's artwork, creating things with my hands, or just picking up a pen and drawing whatever my 5 year old niece wants me to draw (to the eyes of my lil niece am a great artist..aww the innocence/naivety of child, its a great boost for morale!! Lol

P.S Black kitty is cute, but black kitty 'kitty' is SO CUTE ♥

So true whatever got me into drawing it has ceased to stop working getting better is a goal I actively reach for and I feel as if every drawing I get a little better. Even if it's something I've drawn a million times this one sketch I'm making gives me a slightly better understanding of it. If it something completely foreign it's condition my hand to be able to draw it in the future. I love art all different types and drawing has made me realize other forms of it I like. It also helped me realize the importance of practice and that I can do whatever I want. At the time I started art it was a much needed distraction from some family issues. Now it's become much more than that it's a lifestyle and it's something I love. If you keep up with art it can do so much for you.

Hey thanks for reading. I just want other beginner artist to know there is a light at the end of the road often times I doubted I would ever improve and it drove me mad it made me get to where I am but it took so much out of me there is an easier way I want beginners to know that, and even if one beginner reads this it was worth it.
